A 10-hour weekly minimum applies to hourly care, which is why most families combine chore support with homemaker or companion visits in the same week. Visits that include hands-on personal care are quoted at our personal care rates.
Most families pay privately. Long-term care insurance may cover chore support when it is part of a broader home care plan; we help you verify benefits and provide the documentation your insurer requires. We can also help you understand whether Connecticut programs such as the Connecticut Home Care Program for Elders (CHCPE) may apply to your loved one's situation.
